The Friends of the Tyler Public Library is an all-volunteer organization that empowers a vibrant community by supporting the library as a place to read, work, learn, create, congregate, and share ideas.
The nonprofit organization funds and supports more than 70 programs and events each year.
Our Objectives
The Friends of the Tyler Public Library provides community events and activities through the Tyler Public Library. They include:
- Protecting Pieces of the Past for the Local History & Genealogy Room
- Purchasing laptops for use in the library
- Children’s story time activities & supplies
- Summer and Winter Reading Challenge software and supplies
- Spanish language materials
- Makerspace experiences
- Special speakers & performers
- 3D printer & supplies
- Public copiers
- Library upkeep
- Recreational spaces
